​Purpose

The Advisory Council of Raha Scholars Foundation provides professional expertise, strategic guidance, and specialized advice to support the Foundation’s mission of expanding educational opportunities for Afghan women and girls.

Mandate

The Advisory Council shall:

• Provide professional expertise and strategic advice to Raha Scholars Foundation’s leadership and Board.

• Advise on the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs supporting Afghan women and girls.

• Provide specialized guidance within each advisor’s area of expertise.

• Identify emerging opportunities, challenges, and risks that may affect the Foundation’s mission and programs.

• Support Raha Scholars Foundation in developing sustainable, ethical, transparent, and effective practices.

• Provide guidance on education, youth engagement, governance, finance, community relations, and international development.

• Contribute relevant professional networks, knowledge, and perspectives to strengthen the Foundation’s impact.

• Promote collaboration and partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Provide advice that supports  Raha Scholars Foundation’s commitment to education, empowerment, dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.

• Advise on strategies that help Afghan female students access scholarships, language education, mentorship, and other essential learning resources.

• Review and provide constructive feedback on strategic initiatives, policies, programs, and long-term priorities when requested.
